26 Nov An Interesting Fact About Thanksgiving
When we think of Thanksgiving, turkey, mashed potatoes, apple/pumpkin pies, and football probably come to mind. Hopefully, spending time with family and truly giving thanks for those things and people in your life brings fond memories. Many may think of the famous Macy’s Day parade.
Did you know? The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was originally called the “Macy’s Christmas Parade” to kick off the holiday shopping season. The first parade in 1924 did not include Snoopy and the character balloons we see today. Instead, it included monkeys, bears, camels, and elephants borrowed from the Central Park Zoo.
I am blessed with two sons (ages 42 and 36) who have grown up to be very upstanding and solid citizens, the best daughter-in-law one could have (I only have one, but she is still the best), and two fantastic grandkids: Landon (15) and Kaylee (11). I love being part of their lives.
Without a doubt, having the great opportunity and privilege to work with all of the great E&O Plus agencies has been a solid blessing and has left me with many great memories.
I trust you will all take time to give serious thoughts to what you are truly thankful for.
For all of the staff of the E&O Plus agencies and your families,
Happy Thanksgiving!
